The RoadGlass beta is being built in the open.

This page separates what works now from what is still being verified, so testers always know what they can safely rely on.

Current milestone: RoadGlass 1.50

Guided experience

First-run onboarding, in-app Help, focused Settings categories, and a discoverable mobile actions menu are included for beta verification.

IMPLEMENTED

New Trip planning

Start and Destination, debounced Premium suggestions, user-triggered Free search, keyboard selection, Favorites, recent searches, and current-location start.

Routing integrity

Premium avoidances are sent separately to TomTom. Fallback routes disclose unapplied restrictions.

Windows installer

The installer is released to the beta machine only after the complete automated suite passes.

DEPLOYED

Premium gateway

The protected server is live at api.roadglass.com, keeps the TomTom credential out of every app, and meters provider use.

Before reporting a route issue

  1. Record the Start, Destination, and any intermediate stops.
  2. Note whether the route card says Live commercial route or Community road route.
  3. List the avoidance options and travel profile you selected.
  4. Never include passwords, payment details, or private access codes in a report.
Road safety: RoadGlass is a planning aid. Posted signs, closures, permits, vehicle limits, law-enforcement directions, and actual road conditions always take priority.

Beta enrollment

The first test group is intentionally limited while route quality, crash reports, and commercial-provider cost are measured. Public enrollment and a support contact will be published here only after the 1.50 installer and gateway are verified.
